PENGARUH KEPUASAN KERJA TERHADAP ANGKA TURNOVER INTENTION KARYAWAN DI GERAI CABANG PT. T MEDAN

Abstract
Employees are one of the most important assets in a company who act as a mover to achieve company goals. To get best performance, it must be supported by making employees feel comfortable while working, as evidenced by the level of satisfaction. The research was conducted at a branch outlet of PT. T Medan with 30 respondents who worked during the 2017 - 2020 period.
Based on the results of data processing, the significance value for X for Y is 0.143 > 0.005. Based on the significance value, the results show that the job satisfaction variable has a positive but insignificant effect on turnover intention. The correlation regression value is 0.797, which means that jointly job satisfaction has an effect on turnover intention to have a positive contribution. With a value (R2) of 0.494 (49%) where 49% of the variation in the dependent variable, as job satisfaction, can explain the turnover intention variable while the remaining 51% is influenced by other variables. Meanwhile, based on employee interviews, the highest reason for choosing to resign was getting another job (35%), the second highest reason was too long working hours (28%), and the third highest reason was the completed of the work contract (20%).
