PENGARUH PELATIHAN DAN PENGEMBAGAN TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PADA DINAS PERPUSTAKAAN DAN KEARSIPAN KOTA MEDAN

Abstract
This Study aims to determine the influence of training and development on employee performance at theMedan City Archives and Library Service. The Population in this study were 56 employees of the Medan City Library and Archives Service, while the sampling technique was saturated. So that the sample in this study amounted to 56 employees.
Sources of date in this study are primary data and secondary data. Where the primary data from observations, interviews and questionnaires. Meanwhile, secondary data can be obtained from data that has been documented. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression.
The results of multiple regression analysis are Y = 0,738+ 0,534X1 + 0,481X2+ ewhich shows that training and development have a positive and significant effect on performance employees. While the results of the t test or patial test show that training has a positive and significant effect on employee performancewhere it can be seen that the value of t-count= 7,221 >t-table 2,006 (n-k=56-3=53) and the development variable also has a positif and significant effect on employee performance where it can be seen that the value of t-count=8,504 >t-table 2,006 (n-k=56-3=53). The results of the coefficient of determination with a correlation regression value of 0,919, meaning that jointly training and development of employee performance at the Medan City Archives and Library Service has a strong and positive contribution. Then the coefficient of determination (R2) Is 844 (84,4%). So it can be said that 84,4 % of the variation in the dependent variable, namely training and development in the model, has a contribution to the performance of employees at the Medan City Archives and Library Service while the reaining 15,6% is influenced by other variables outside the model.
